L’EBM ou ELECTRONIC BODY MUSIC est un genre musical créé en Belgique en 1981 avec le single “Principles” de FRONT 242. Toutefois, le terme a été utilisé pour la première fois en novembre 1977 dans le magazine Sounds par RALF HÜTTER du groupe KRAFTWERK. Ce dernier réitère le terme d’Electronic Body Music en juin 1978 pour qualifier le son de l’album “The Man-Machine” lors d’une interview sur WSKU dans leur studio de Kent dans l’Ohio.
